Ms. Nangira Deborah

Deborah holds a Masters in Health services management (MHSM) from International Health Sciences University, Kampala and a Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BScN) from Makerere University.

She has also received specialized trainings in HIV/AIDS Counseling from TASO, Neonatal resuscitation and care for the high-risk Newborns from international Hospital -Kampala, ARVs and their use in resource limited settings by Mild May Uganda and as trainer of trainees for Timed and Targeted Counseling model for MCH by world Vision.

Deborah has served with different organization including Elizabeth Glazer Pediatric Aids Foundation – Mbarara as a Community Engagement and Mobilization Officer – USAID Rhites –South West Project, worked with World Vision Uganda as a Community Development Facilitator – Access to Infant and Maternal Health project (AIM– Health) in Busia Uganda where she notably succeeded in implementing a 5-year MNCH project which was supported by Irish Aid, worked with Ministry of Health – Uganda AIDS Survey as a Counselor, served at Kampala Hospital Limited as a Nursing Officer – Neonatal Unit and also worked at Masaka Regional Refferal Hospital as an Intern

Deborah speaks english and Luganda fluently and moderately communicates in Samia.

She is extremely competent in health technical programming, with proven skills in facilitation and mentoring, public communication and presentation, people management, leadership and team work, managing group dynamics, she has good interpersonal skills, collaboration, coordination and management skills, networking and building partnerships with district leaderships, community resource persons, CBOs, CSOs, documentation of project information and best practices, report writing skills with computer skills in MS word, Excel, Power point, Internet, able to cultivate team spirit, provide guidance, Work planning and budgeting. She holds high values to management and financial integrity and client centeredness. She is married to Pastor Byamungu

Deborah brings a wide experience of programing and community facilitation to the board of Get Water Uganda.
